Welche Daten wir verarbeiten

Bei der Registrierung erheben wir Benutzername, Name, E-Mail-Adresse und Passwort (nur als Hashwert gespeichert). Wenn du Apple Health, ein Wearable oder eine Fitness-App verbindest, werden folgende Datenkategorien abgerufen und gespeichert:

Schritte, Distanz, verbrannte Kalorien, aktive Minuten
Herzfrequenz, Herzfrequenzvariabilität (HRV), Ruhepuls
Schlafdaten (Gesamtdauer, Schlafphasen)
Trainingsbereitschaft / Recovery-Score
SpO₂ (Blutsauerstoffsättigung), Atemfrequenz, VO₂max
Gewicht und Körperfett
Trainings (Art, Dauer, Distanz, Herzfrequenz, Pace, bei Outdoor-Trainings die GPS-Strecke)

Außerdem speichern wir Nachrichten an den Support sowie Ziele und Trainingspläne, die du anlegst.

Session-Cookies werden ausschließlich für die Authentifizierung verwendet. Wir setzen keine Tracking- oder Werbe-Cookies.

Zweck der Verarbeitung

Alle Daten werden ausschließlich zur Bereitstellung deines persönlichen Gesundheits-Dashboards (Web und iOS-App) verwendet. Wir verkaufen keine Daten und nutzen sie nicht für Werbung. Eine Übermittlung an Dritte erfolgt nur an die unten genannten Dienstleister und nur, soweit es für die jeweilige Funktion nötig ist.

iOS-App und Apple Health

Wenn du in der App den Zugriff auf Apple Health erlaubst, liest Wearwise die oben genannten Gesundheitsdaten und überträgt sie verschlüsselt (HTTPS) in dein Wearwise-Konto, auch im Hintergrund. Wearwise schreibt keine Daten in Apple Health. Welche Datentypen die App lesen darf, legst du in den iOS-Einstellungen fest und kannst es dort jederzeit ändern. Daten aus Apple Health werden nicht für Werbung, Marketing oder Profilbildung zu Werbezwecken verwendet und nicht an Datenhändler weitergegeben.

Auf dem iPhone speichert die App eine Anmelde-Kennung im Schlüsselbund und zwischengespeicherte Ansichten für den Offline-Betrieb. Beim Abmelden wird beides gelöscht.

KI-Coach (optional)

Tageszusammenfassung, Wochenbericht, Fragen an den Coach und Trainingspläne werden mit einem KI-Dienst erstellt. Dafür senden wir eine Zusammenfassung deiner Gesundheits- und Trainingsdaten (z. B. Schlaf, HRV, Ruhepuls, Trainings, Ziel) – ohne Name und E-Mail-Adresse – an Anthropic PBC (USA) oder Groq, Inc. (USA). Das geschieht nur mit deiner ausdrücklichen Einwilligung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a, Art. 9 Abs. 2 lit. a DSGVO), um die wir dich vor der ersten Nutzung bitten. Sie gilt für dein Konto in Web und App und lässt sich jederzeit in den Einstellungen widerrufen. Die Übermittlung in die USA erfolgt auf Grundlage des EU-US Data Privacy Framework bzw. von Standardvertragsklauseln. Hinterlegst du einen eigenen API-Schlüssel, gelten zusätzlich deine Vereinbarungen mit dem jeweiligen Anbieter.

Abo (Wearwise Pro)

Käufe in der iOS-App wickelt Apple ab; wir erhalten keine Zahlungsdaten. Gespeichert werden nur Produkt, Transaktionsnummer, Status und Laufzeit, um das Abo deinem Konto zuzuordnen (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO). Ein Abo gilt für App und Web-Dashboard.

Speicherort & Sicherheit

Deine Daten werden auf einem privaten Server gespeichert, der sich physisch beim Betreiber befindet. Es wird kein kommerzieller Cloud-Anbieter für die Datenspeicherung verwendet. Passwörter werden ausschließlich als Hashwerte gespeichert, OAuth-Token verschlüsselt abgelegt.

Drittanbieter & OAuth

Wenn du ein Gerät verbindest, wirst du auf die OAuth-Seite des jeweiligen Anbieters weitergeleitet. WearWise speichert ausschließlich die erhaltenen Zugriffs-Token sowie die zurückgegebenen Gesundheitsdaten. Die Datenschutzrichtlinien der Drittanbieter gelten für den Authentifizierungsvorgang: Garmin, Google / Fitbit, Oura, Whoop, Polar, Suunto, COROS, Zepp/Amazfit, Withings und Strava.

Dienstleister

Cloudflare, Inc. – leitet die verschlüsselte Verbindung zu unserem Server weiter; speichert keine Gesundheitsdaten.
MailerSend (MailerLite Limited, Irland) – Versand von E-Mails (z. B. Passwort zurücksetzen, Freischaltung).
Open-Meteo – Wetterdaten zu Trainings; übermittelt werden nur ungefähre Koordinaten und Zeitpunkt, keine Kontodaten.
Apple – App-Vertrieb, Abo-Abrechnung, Apple Health auf deinem Gerät.
Anthropic / Groq – KI-Coach (siehe oben).

Deine Rechte (DSGVO)

Du hast jederzeit das Recht auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung der Verarbeitung, Datenübertragbarkeit und Widerspruch. Zur Ausübung wende dich an: hello@wearwise.app

Du hast zudem das Recht, eine Beschwerde bei einer Datenschutz-Aufsichtsbehörde einzureichen.

Rechtsgrundlage

Die Verarbeitung erfolgt auf Basis von Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (Vertragserfüllung) sowie Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a i. V. m. Art. 9 Abs. 2 lit. a DSGVO (Einwilligung für Gesundheitsdaten).

Löschung

Dein Konto und alle gespeicherten Daten können jederzeit vollständig entfernt werden: im Dashboard unter Einstellungen → Konto löschen oder in der iOS-App unter Mehr → Konto & Einstellungen → Konto löschen. Die Löschung ist endgültig.

Data We Process

When you register, we collect a username, name, email address and password (stored only as a hash). When you connect Apple Health, a wearable or a fitness app, the following data categories are retrieved and stored:

Steps, distance, calories burned, active minutes
Heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate
Sleep data (total duration, sleep stages)
Training readiness / recovery score
SpO₂ (blood oxygen saturation), respiratory rate, VO₂max
Weight and body fat
Workouts (type, duration, distance, heart rate, pace and, for outdoor workouts, the GPS route)

We also store messages you send to support and the goals and training plans you create.

Session cookies are used solely for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Purpose of Processing

All data is used exclusively to provide your personal health dashboard (web and iOS app). We do not sell data or use it for advertising. Data is only passed to the service providers listed below, and only as far as the respective feature requires.

iOS App and Apple Health

If you allow access to Apple Health in the app, Wearwise reads the health data listed above and transfers it to your Wearwise account over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), including in the background. Wearwise does not write data to Apple Health. You choose which data types the app may read in the iOS settings and can change this at any time. Data from Apple Health is never used for advertising, marketing or ad-related profiling, and is never shared with data brokers.

On your iPhone, the app keeps a sign-in token in the Keychain and cached screens for offline use. Both are deleted when you sign out.

AI Coach (optional)

Daily summaries, weekly reports, coach answers and training plans are created with an AI service. For this we send a summary of your health and training data (e.g. sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, workouts, goal) – without your name or email address – to Anthropic PBC (USA) or Groq, Inc. (USA). This only happens with your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which we ask for before first use. It applies to your account on the web and in the app and can be withdrawn at any time in settings. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. If you add your own API key, your own agreement with that provider also applies.

Subscription (Wearwise Pro)

Purchases in the iOS app are handled by Apple; we never receive payment details. We only store the product, transaction ID, status and term to link the subscription to your account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). One subscription covers both the app and the web dashboard.

Storage & Security

Your data is stored on a private server located physically with the operator. No commercial cloud provider is used for data storage. Passwords are stored exclusively as hashes; OAuth tokens are stored in encrypted form.

Third Parties & OAuth

When you connect a device, you are redirected to the OAuth page of the respective provider. WearWise stores only the received access tokens and the returned health data. The privacy policies of third-party providers apply to the authentication process: Garmin, Google / Fitbit, Oura, Whoop, Polar, Suunto, COROS, Zepp/Amazfit, Withings and Strava.

Service Providers

Cloudflare, Inc. – forwards the encrypted connection to our server; stores no health data.
MailerSend (MailerLite Limited, Ireland) – sends emails (e.g. password reset, account activation).
Open-Meteo – weather for workouts; only approximate coordinates and time are sent, no account data.
Apple – app distribution, subscription billing, Apple Health on your device.
Anthropic / Groq – AI coach (see above).

Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right at any time to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to your data. To exercise these rights, contact: hello@wearwise.app

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Legal Basis

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance) and Art. 6(1)(a) together with Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR (consent for health data).

Deletion

Your account and all stored data can be completely removed at any time: in the dashboard under Settings → Delete Account, or in the iOS app under More → Account & settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent.
